Ageing is one of the major challenges Europe is facing in the coming decades and it’s crucial that we think about innovative solutions and new approaches to solving the challenges. The Design-led Innovations for Active Ageing project consists of a network of cities that drastically need to find economic and innovative yet sustainable solutions for senior care. Each participating city brings forth a best practice in the field of senior care and a need for a change of policy in that area. The project’s starting point is a shared European challenge: Demographic ageing is identified by the EU2020 Strategy as one of the main long-term challenges that Europe is facing post-crisis.

Rather than “design as styling” added on towards the end of the innovation process, both the user and systems view are in the focus from the beginning of the innovation process.

The DAA project is funded by the EU’s European Regional Development Fund through the INTERREG IVC programme.

Boobs store

Begin februari ging de 2de winkel van Boobs-’n-Burps open in Antwerpen. Het winkelconcept van de conceptstore in Dilbeek werd uitgebreid met enkele nieuwe ‘features’.

De pinguïn werd de Antwerpse winkelmascotte (Dilbeek = zeepaard).

Bij de keizerspinguïn broedt alleen het mannetje het ei uit, tijdens de ijzige zuidelijke winter (juli-augustus) bij temperaturen van -70°C terwijl het vrouwtje naar zee teruggaat om te eten.

Lens careers — huisstijl

Lens is actief sinds maart 2006 en is dochter van de Focus HR Group. De kernactiviteiten situeren zich in het oplossen van rekruterings- en selectievraagstukken, direct search en het beoordelen van potentieel, kennen en kunnen.

Stuwende kracht achter Lens is Catherine Kerssebeeck, die na een jarenlange expertise binnen rekrutering & selectie en human resources management, gekoppeld aan een doorgedreven kennis van het bedrijfsleven haar eigen visie op het vak verder gestalte geeft onder de noemer Lens Careers.
